Description

Delicious and crispy potato-feta fritters served with a refreshing yogurt-cucumber sauce, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 400g potatoes (waxy)
  • 200g feta cheese
  • 1 small onion
  • 2 eggs
  • 100g flour (or gluten-free flour)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying
  • 150g yogurt (preferably Greek)
  • 1 cucumber
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill
  • 1 clove garlic

Instructions

  1. Peel and grate the potatoes. Squeeze out excess moisture using a kitchen towel.
  2. Finely chop the onion and mix it with the grated potatoes in a large bowl.
  3. Crumble the feta with a fork and add it to the mixture. Then add the eggs, flour, salt, and pepper.
  4. Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat. Form small portions of the mixture and carefully place them in the hot oil. Fry until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  5. Grate the cucumber and mix it in a bowl with the yogurt, chopped dill, and pressed garlic to prepare the sauce.
  6. Serve the warm fritters with the yogurt sauce on a plate. Enjoy!

Notes

Make the potato mixture in advance and let it rest in the fridge for more intense flavors. For a healthier option, bake the fritters in the oven instead of frying.
