Description

Create your own delicious sushi rolls at home with fresh ingredients and endless customization options.

Ingredients

  • Nori sheets
  • Sushi rice
  • Fresh vegetables (cucumbers, avocado, carrots)
  • Optional: Fresh fish (salmon, tuna)
  • Soy sauce
  • Wasabi
  • Pickled ginger

Instructions

  1. Cook the sushi rice according to package instructions and let it cool.
  2. Place a nori sheet on your sushi mat with the shiny side down.
  3. Spread an even layer of rice over the nori, leaving a 2 cm border.
  4. Add your chosen vegetables and fish (if using) in a line down the center of the rice.
  5. Roll the sushi mat carefully, applying firm pressure to enclose the fillings. Don’t over-tighten to avoid tearing the nori.
  6. Slice the sushi roll into even pieces with a sharp knife.
  7. Serve the pieces with soy sauce, a dab of wasabi, and fresh ginger.

Notes

You can prepare sushi rice in advance for easier assembly. Experiment with various fillings to suit your taste.
