Ingredients

- 2 cups cooked short-grain rice
- 1/4 cup kimchi, chopped
- 1/4 cup cooked vegetables (like carrots or peas)
- 1/4 cup tuna or cooked meat (optional)
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
- Salt to taste
- Nori sheets for wrapping (optional)
Instructions
- Combine the cooked rice, chopped kimchi, vegetables, and tuna or meat, if using, in a large bowl.
- Drizzle with sesame oil and sprinkle sesame seeds and salt over the top.
- Mix everything well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
- Wet your hands lightly with water. Take a handful of the mixture and shape it into a ball or triangle.
- Wrap optionally with a piece of nori for additional flavor.
- Repeat this process until all the mixture is used up.
- Serve the Jumeokbap as a snack, light meal, or part of a delightful spread.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. They freeze well for longer storage.
