Description

A simple yet delicious Panini featuring fresh mozzarella, ripe tomatoes, and aromatic basil for a taste of Italy.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 Ciabatta rolls
  • 2 ripe tomatoes, sliced
  • 200g creamy mozzarella cheese, sliced
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your panini maker or grill pan to medium heat.
  2. Slice the ciabatta roll lengthwise.
  3. Place the bottom half of the bread on a clean surface and top it generously with sliced tomatoes.
  4. Add a layer of creamy mozzarella, overlapping the slices slightly.
  5. Garnish with fresh basil leaves.
  6. Drizzle a bit of olive oil over the filling.
  7. Close the ciabatta and place it in the panini maker or grill pan.
  8. Cook until the bread is golden and crispy, approximately 5-7 minutes in the panini maker or 3-5 minutes per side in the grill pan.
  9. Remove the panini carefully, let it cool for a moment, and then slice it diagonally.

Notes

For added flavor, consider adding pesto, arugula, or diced avocados to the filling.
